VIBE
Cookie, Analytics & Advertising Policy
How Vibe uses cookies, app technologies, analytics and advertising services across our website and mobile apps.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Vibe uses cookies, mobile SDKs, local storage, advertising identifiers and similar technologies.
It applies to vibelistings.co.uk and the Vibe Android and iOS applications.
For simplicity, this policy refers collectively to these technologies as storage and access technologies.
2. Who operates Vibe
Demon Cat Media Limited trading as Vibe
Company number: 14680772

3. What storage and access technologies are
These technologies can include browser cookies, local or session storage, app storage, mobile SDKs, pixels, scripts, tags, device identifiers, advertising identifiers and similar technologies that store information on, or obtain information from, a user’s device.
The relevant rules can apply to technologies used within mobile apps as well as websites.
4. Strictly necessary technologies
Some technologies are necessary for Vibe to provide a service you have requested.
Examples can include technologies used for account authentication, security, fraud prevention, maintaining a login session, maintaining a shopping basket, checkout, remembering privacy choices and transmitting information necessary to provide the service.
Where the law provides a strictly necessary or communications exception, these technologies may be used without consent.
5. Functional and appearance technologies
Some technologies may be used to remember preferences or adapt how Vibe appears or operates.
Where Vibe relies on a statutory appearance or functionality exception, we will comply with the conditions applicable to that exception, including providing clear information and a simple means of objecting where required.
If the technology goes beyond the legal exception, consent will be requested before it is used.
6. Analytics and statistical technologies
We may use analytics to understand how many people use Vibe, which screens or pages are used, whether features work correctly, general engagement patterns, technical performance and how we can improve the service.
Where UK law permits a narrowly defined statistical use without consent and all applicable conditions are met, we may rely on that exception.
Where analytics goes beyond an applicable exception, consent will be obtained before the relevant storage or access technology is used.
7. Advertising technologies
Vibe may display advertisements, including advertisements supplied through services such as Google AdMob.
Advertising technology may use information such as advertising identifiers, device information, advertisement impressions, advertisement interactions, consent status and information needed to prevent fraud and measure advertising.
Where advertising involves storing information on or accessing information from a device, Vibe will obtain consent where required by law.
Vibe does not provide advertisers with information stating or inferring that an individual is LGBTQIA+, nor do we intentionally use sexual orientation as an advertising category.
8. Personalised and non-personalised advertising
The type of advertising that may be available depends on applicable law, user choices, device settings and the services used to provide advertisements.
Where consent is required for personalised advertising or related technologies, personalised advertising will only be used following the appropriate consent.
Users may be shown contextual or non-personalised advertising where appropriate.
9. Consent choices
Where consent is required, users will be provided with a genuine choice. Consent can be withdrawn.
Depending on where the technology is used, choices may be available through the website’s privacy or cookie controls, in-app privacy or advertising controls, an advertising consent interface, operating-system privacy controls or device settings.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
10. Location permissions
Location permission is separate from advertising consent.
Where a Vibe feature requests device location, the user can manage that permission through Android or iOS settings.
Declining location access may prevent a location-based feature from functioning but should not prevent access to unrelated Vibe features.
11. Third-party technology providers
Technologies used by Vibe may be provided by third parties such as:
- Google;
- Firebase;
- Google AdMob;
- WordPress;
- WooCommerce;
- payment providers;
- hosting providers; and
- other technology required to operate a particular feature.
Third-party providers may process information independently under their own privacy documentation where applicable.
12. Shopping and account technologies
The Vibe website and app may use technologies necessary to maintain a shopping basket, process checkout, maintain an authenticated session, display account information, maintain account security and remember necessary customer information during a transaction.
These technologies may qualify as strictly necessary where they are required to provide the service requested by the user.
13. Changing your choices
Users may change available privacy choices at any time.
Browser cookies can also be deleted through browser settings. App data and permissions can be managed through the relevant device settings, although deleting essential stored information may sign you out or reset app preferences.
14. Privacy information
For more information about how Vibe processes personal information, please read our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to this policy
The technologies used by Vibe may change as the service develops.
We will update this policy where necessary and will request fresh consent where required by law.
