Some Vibe features may use your device location to help provide location-based functionality, such as finding venues or obtaining directions. Location access is controlled through your device permissions and can be withdrawn in your device settings.

4. Cookies, mobile SDKs and similar technologies
Our website and apps may use cookies, local storage, mobile SDKs, device identifiers and similar storage or access technologies.
Some are necessary for security, authentication, shopping baskets or requested functionality. Other technologies may be used for analytics or advertising.
Further information is available in our Cookie, Analytics & Advertising Policy.
5. LGBTQIA+ related information and special-category data
Vibe is a directory and entertainment platform that includes LGBTQIA+ venues, events, offers and related content.
Using Vibe or viewing particular venues or events does not mean that a person’s sexual orientation, gender identity or other personal characteristic can or should be assumed.
Vibe does not require users to declare their sexual orientation as part of an ordinary Vibe account. We do not intentionally create profiles that infer a person’s sexual orientation from the venues, events or content they view, and we do not provide sexual-orientation information to advertisers for targeted advertising.
Where any special-category personal information is voluntarily provided to us, we will only process it where there is an appropriate lawful basis and additional legal condition for doing so.
6. Why we use personal information
Provide the Vibe service
This includes creating accounts, signing users in, maintaining account details, providing app and website features and responding to requests. The lawful basis will normally be performance of a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Process purchases
We use information to process orders, receive payment confirmations, arrange fulfilment and delivery, provide tickets, process refunds and maintain transaction records. The lawful bases are normally contract and legal obligation.
Provide customer support
We use information to respond to enquiries, investigate problems and resolve complaints. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis may be contract or legitimate interests.
Operate and secure Vibe
We may process information to protect our systems, detect misuse, investigate technical failures, prevent fraud and maintain service reliability. We normally rely on legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligation.
Improve our services
We may use appropriate analytics and aggregated information to understand how Vibe performs and to improve the website and apps. Where consent is required for the technology used, we will request that consent.
Advertising
Vibe may display advertising, including advertising delivered through third-party advertising technology such as Google advertising services. Storage of or access to information on a user’s device for advertising purposes will only take place where the required consent has been obtained.
Vibe does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Marketing
We may send marketing where you have consented or another lawful electronic-marketing exception applies. Every electronic marketing message will provide an appropriate method of opting out.
Comply with the law
We may retain or disclose information where necessary for accounting, taxation, consumer law, regulatory compliance, litigation or another legal obligation.
7. Services and organisations we may share information with
We only share personal information where reasonably necessary. Recipients may include:
- website, hosting and account technology providers;
- WordPress and WooCommerce service providers;
- Google services, including Firebase or Firestore where implemented;
- advertising services such as Google AdMob, subject to applicable consent controls;
- payment providers used during checkout;
- print, fulfilment and delivery partners, which may include Inkthreadable, Royal Mail, Evri, DPD or another appropriate carrier;
- email and communications providers;
- mapping and navigation providers where you choose to use those services;
- Apple and Google in connection with app distribution, diagnostics or platform services;
- professional advisers, regulators, courts and public authorities where required; and
- a purchaser or successor if all or part of the Vibe business is transferred or reorganised.
8. International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where UK personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps to ensure a lawful transfer mechanism is available. Depending on the provider and destination, this may include a UK adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
9. How long information is kept
We do not retain personal information indefinitely merely because it was collected.
- Active account information: retained while the account remains active and afterwards only where reasonably necessary.
- Deleted accounts: account-specific information that is not legally required will be deleted or anonymised following a valid deletion request.
- Orders, payments and accounting records: information required for accounting, taxation, fraud prevention, legal claims or regulatory purposes may normally be retained for up to six years or another period required by law.
- Customer support communications: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter and maintain an appropriate record.
- Marketing records: retained while permission remains valid and afterwards where necessary to maintain an unsubscribe or suppression record.
- Security and technical logs: retained only for a period reasonably necessary for security, diagnostics or fraud prevention.
Backups may temporarily contain information removed from live systems. Such information is retained securely and removed through the normal backup replacement cycle.
10. Account deletion
Users can initiate deletion through the My Account section of the Vibe app.
Users who cannot access the app can also use our public Account & Data Deletion page or email contact@vibelistings.co.uk.
Account deletion removes the Vibe account and associated personal information unless we have a lawful reason to retain particular records.
11. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights including:
- the right to be informed;
- the right of access;
- the right to correct inaccurate information;
- the right to request erasure;
- the right to restrict processing;
- the right to object to processing;
- the right to data portability;
- rights relating to certain automated decision-making; and
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights are not absolute in every circumstance. To exercise a right, contact contact@vibelistings.co.uk.
We may need enough information to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
12. Automated decision-making
Vibe does not ordinarily make decisions about users solely by automated means which produce legal effects or similarly significant effects.
Automated technologies may be used for functions such as security, fraud detection, analytics or advertisement selection, but this does not mean that Vibe makes legally significant automated decisions about users.
13. Data security
We use appropriate organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Measures may include encrypted communications, authentication controls, restricted administrative access, secure credential storage, software updates, monitoring and backup and recovery arrangements.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
14. Children
Vibe is not specifically designed as a children’s service.
Some venues, events, products and services listed through Vibe are restricted to people aged 18 or over. Users must comply with all age restrictions imposed by venues, event organisers, retailers and applicable law.
15. Third-party websites and services
Vibe contains links to venue websites, ticket sellers, maps, social-media platforms and other third-party services.
Once you leave a Vibe-controlled service, the third party’s own terms and privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.
16. Data protection complaints
If you believe that we have handled your personal information incorrectly, contact contact@vibelistings.co.uk.
Demon Cat Media Limited maintains a process for handling data protection complaints. We will acknowledge a data protection complaint within the period required by law, investigate it appropriately and communicate the outcome.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy when Vibe’s services, technologies or legal obligations change.
The current version will always be published on the Vibe website. Where a change materially affects how personal information is used, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to users’ attention where required.
